FAQs

Is this programme suitable for me even if I have no exercise experience?

Absolutely.  I have designed the Strength Collective for people who have no experience of resistance training and little or no experience of formal exercise.  Many of my personal training clients had never properly exercised when they first started working with me, and many of them had been suffering with chronic pain or mobility issues for years.  Working with these clients was part of the reason I was inspired to create the Strength Collective - a programme for anyone who ever thought that movement and strength was out of their reach.
 

PLEASE NOTE: if you have any concerns over a joint or muscular problem, or have a heart condition or blood pressure issue, it is essential that you consult with your doctor to clarify that it is safe for you to become physically active at this current time and in your current state of health.
 

If I decide the Strength Collective is not for me, can I cancel my subscription easily?

Yes.  There is no contract with the Strength Collective and you can simply cancel your standing order.

 


If I feel I need additional support with a certain part of the programme, will I be able to speak with someone?

One of the elements of the Strength Collective is the Community Chat which will be a forum for all participants of the programme to ask questions, share wins (and frustrations!), discuss relevant topics such as diet and nutrition, technique, motivation and consistency amongst others.  However, if you are struggling with or don't understand a particular exercise or component of the programme, you can email gemma@gemmaaldcroft.com and someone will get back to you as soon as possible to help you out.

Do I have to purchase a resistance band and glute band starter pack in order to be able to do the exercises?

No.  You will still be able to do all of the Bodyweight Essentials exercises and corresponding workout sheets without the resistance and glute bands pack.  However, once you have perfected the bodyweight workouts, you will want to progress your training by watching the Introduction to Resistance Bands and Introduction to Glute Bands videos on the website and utilising the corresponding downloadable workout sheets, for which you will need a set of adjustable resistance bands and a glute band. 

 

Is it essential to purchase the Accountability Tracker and Progress Workbook in order to take part in the Strength Collective programme?

No.  All of the videos and downloadable workout sheets are included in the monthly membership price however, the workbook is a valuable tool in terms of creating positive fitness habits and goal creation and attainment.  With the accountability trackers and meal planner being laminated, it means you can use them over and over again, as you set yourself new goals every week and month.  The macros information sheets are also laminated - they're wipe clean so perfect to keep in the kitchen!
